Day 1 – Lisboa

Arrive in beautiful Lisboa, where you will be met by your driver and local guide for your transfer to the hotel. After check-in, you’ll tour Portugal’s capital city, including a visit to Belém where you will see the Jeronimos Monastery and the artistic neighborhood of Chiado. Later, enjoy a special dinner show featuring the heart wrenching (and very popular) music of Fado. 

Day 2 – Lisboa – Sintra – Cascais – Lisboa 

Enjoy breakfast at the hotel before a full-day tour with a local guide to Sintra, a true fairytale. Spend a day in the town of Sintra, visiting Sintra National Palace, Cabo da Roca and Cascais. A day surrounded by local wonders: from the palace which marked the age of Romanticism, to the streets of Sintra. 

Enjoy lunch at a local restaurant before having the chance to see the magnificent landscape of Cabo da Roca, the westernmost point of continental Europe. The day ends along the coast with a visit to Cascais.

Day 3 – Lisbon – Coimbra – Porto

After breakfast, depart for Porto. En route we’ll stop in the beautiful university city of Coimbra. Once the capital of the country, Coimbra is a charming riverfront city, home to many of the finest architectural structures in the country. Your guide will take you on a walking tour of the city’s highlights including the university and famous library, followed by lunch and time to stroll. It’s then off to exciting Porto, where you will enjoy a delicious dinner.    

Day 4 – Porto 

Enjoy breakfast at the hotel before departing on a tour of the historic center of Porto, including Clerigos Tower, Sao Bento Railway Station and the House of Filigree Museum. Return to the hotel with time to unwind before dinner.

Day 5 – Porto – Douro – Porto 

After breakfast, meet your tour leader to depart on your excursion into the Douro Valley. Your drive takes us through the stunning scenery, arriving in Cais do Pinhao. Here, board your vessel for a cruise along the river (with a drink on board!). 

Disembarking, visit one of the great vineyards in Douro for a tour of the winery and lunch with a wine pairing. After this exciting day, return to Porto for a night at leisure.

Day 6 – Porto

Your tour today includes a visit to what many consider the most beautiful bookstore in the world, Livraria Lello, where you’ll have time to explore, shop, and enjoy a special chocolate and port wine pairing. 

The afternoon is at your leisure to grab a few souvenirs or enjoy a warm cup of coffee at a local café. This evening, enjoy a special local dinner.

Day 7 – Porto

Bid farewell to Porto as you transfer to the airport for your onward journey.
