Welcome to Italy, where beauty, culture, and effortless elegance set the tone from the moment you arrive. Upon landing in Florence, you’ll be personally greeted by our Sky Vacations ambassador and transferred to our hotel, followed by a walking tour of the city.

Our curated introduction to the city includes visits to the Accademia Gallery and the Uffizi Gallery, two of the world’s most celebrated collections. At the Accademia, stand before Michelangelo’s David, an icon of grace and strength, while the Uffizi invites you into a world of Botticelli, da Vinci, and Caravaggio, where art, femininity, and power intertwine across centuries. Florence itself is a living masterpiece, intimate yet grand, where cobblestone streets reveal hidden ateliers, historic palazzi, and sunlit piazzas at every turn. It’s a city that invites you to slow down, savor, and indulge in its quiet sophistication.

There will be time to relax and freshen up before we gather for a welcome dinner at a charming local restaurant.

April 3 – Gubbio, Umbria

This morning, we journey into the heart of Umbria, often called Italy’s “green soul”, arriving in the enchanting hill town of Gubbio, where time seems to stand beautifully still. Draped along the slopes of Mount Ingino, Gubbio captivates with its honey-colored stone, medieval elegance, and a quiet, almost mystical atmosphere that feels worlds away from the bustle of modern life. We’ll enjoy a guided walking tour that reveals the town’s rich history and refined charm, from the grand Palazzo dei Consoli, a striking symbol of Gubbio’s medieval power, to its flower-filled piazzas and artisan boutiques tucked along narrow, winding lanes. Known for its deep-rooted traditions and authentic character, Gubbio offers an intimate expression of Italian culture and history.

After our exploration, we’ll check in to our hotel, where there will be time to unwind at our hotel before enjoying dinner at a local restaurant.

April 4 – Orvieto

After a leisurely breakfast, we set out for the captivating hilltop city of Orvieto, dramatically perched atop a plateau of volcanic tufa and surrounded by sweeping Umbrian countryside. Steeped in Etruscan history and timeless allure, Orvieto feels both majestic and personal, a place where every corner reveals layers of beauty and history.

Our full day exploration begins beneath the surface, with a fascinating visit to Orvieto’s underground caves. an intricate network of tunnels, wells, and hidden passageways that whisper stories of ancient civilizations and centuries of ingenuity. Above ground, we’ll step into the breathtaking Orvieto Cathedral, a masterpiece of Italian Gothic architecture adorned with shimmering mosaics and extraordinary frescoes that evoke both drama and grace.

There will be time to savor a relaxed lunch, perhaps with a glass of crisp Umbrian white wine, before we return to Gubbio in the late afternoon.

April 5 – Perugia

An unforgettable day unfolds as we depart Gubbio for the elegant hilltop capital of Perugia. a city rich in art, culture, and sophistication. With its sweeping terraces, medieval arches, and refined energy, Perugia offers a more elevated, insider’s view of Italy. Our guided walking tour reveals its most captivating corners, culminating in a visit to the National Gallery of Umbria, home to an extraordinary collection of Renaissance masterpieces that reflect the region’s artistic soul.

We then continue to the serene shores of Lake Trasimeno, where a boat awaits to carry us across its tranquil, silvery waters. Surrounded by rolling hills and olive groves, the lake exudes a sense of calm and understated beauty, an idyllic escape into nature. Our destination is the enchanting Isola Maggiore, a timeless island where life moves at a gentler pace. Here, we’ll stroll through its quiet lanes, discover its lace-making heritage, and take in the unspoiled charm that has drawn visitors for centuries seeking authenticity and serenity.

A leisurely, beautifully prepared lunch awaits, an opportunity to savor the flavors of the region in an intimate, picturesque setting, before we return, relaxed and inspired, to Gubbio. 

April 6 – Norcia

Today we depart Gubbio, journeying deeper into the poetic landscapes of Umbria toward the storybook town of Norcia. Along the way, we pause in the enchanting hilltop village of Montefalco, the “Balcony of Umbria” for its sweeping panoramic views over vineyards, olive groves, and rolling countryside.

Here, we’ll visit the remarkable San Francesco Museum, a former church transformed into an intimate cultural treasure. Inside, we’ll discover exquisite Renaissance frescoes by Benozzo Gozzoli, whose luminous storytelling and delicate detail bring the life of Saint Francis vividly to life. Montefalco itself is also famed for its celebrated Sagrantino wines, adding another layer of richness to this refined stop.

We’ll enjoy a leisurely lunch in this serene setting before continuing to Norcia, a town renowned for its culinary heritage and artisanal traditions, and understated elegance. Upon arrival, we’ll check in to our hotel and enjoy time at leisure before gathering for dinner at a local restaurant.

April 7 – Norcia

After breakfast, we venture into the untouched countryside surrounding Norcia for a truly unforgettable experience, an authentic truffle hunt in the rolling, forested hills of Umbria. Guided by an expert truffle hunter and exquisitely trained dogs, we’ll wander through oak and hazelnut groves in search of these prized culinary treasures, immersing ourselves in a centuries-old tradition that feels both intimate and exhilarating. Following our hunt, we’ll gather on a hillside for a hands-on cooking class that celebrates the essence of Umbrian cuisine and a delicious lunch.

Returning to Norcia in the afternoon, we’ll explore this historic town on a guided walking tour. Known as the birthplace of Saint Benedict, Norcia is steeped in spiritual heritage and timeless charm. As we stroll through its ancient streets, we’ll discover beautifully preserved medieval architecture, artisan shops, and the legacy of its famed “norcineria”, traditional charcuterie that has defined the region for generations.

April 8 – Rome

This morning, we depart the beauty of Norcia and journey toward iconic Rome, the “Eternal City,” where history, art, and modern elegance intertwine. Along the way, we’ll pause for a leisurely lunch, before arriving in Rome.

This afternoon, we’ll step out for an immersive food experience, a curated journey through Rome’s most beloved flavors and stories. As we wander through atmospheric neighborhoods, we’ll taste our way through the city, discovering artisanal specialties, regional delicacies, and the culinary traditions that define Roman life, all woven together with the rich history that makes this city endlessly enchanting.

April 9 – Rome

Today is a celebration of the grandeur, artistry, and enduring allure of Rome. Our guided exploration brings the ancient world vividly to life as we step inside the iconic Colosseum, where stories of emperors and gladiators echo through its majestic arches. From there, we wander through the evocative ruins of the Roman Forum, once the beating heart of the Roman Empire, an extraordinary landscape where history feels both powerful and personal.

Our journey continues to St. Peter’s Basilica, a masterpiece of Renaissance architecture and spiritual significance, where soaring domes and exquisite detail inspire awe at every turn. We then enter the incomparable Vatican Museums, home to one of the world’s most important art collections. As we move through its galleries, a sense of anticipation builds before arriving at the breathtaking Sistine Chapel, where Michelangelo’s ceiling unfolds in a symphony of color, beauty, and human expression, an experience that is unforgettable.
