Day 1 – Arrival in Naples

Welcome to Italy! Upon arrival, you’ll be met by your Sky Vacations ambassador who will transfer you to your hotel. The balance of the day is at your leisure to unwind and explore magical Naples. 

Day 2 – Explore Naples         

This morning, meet your guide for a private walking tour of Naples, a city where ancient and modern life intertwine. You’ll explore the historic center, stroll the Piazza Plebiscito, the San Carlo Theater and the Umberto I Gallery. You’ll also have time to stroll the Spanish Quarters to discover the hidden gems that make Naples special.  This evening, a special 4 course dinner and wine tasting has been reserved for you. 

Day 3 – Culinary Naples

Your morning is at leisure for you to discover more of Naples. This afternoon, you’ll embark on a pizza walking tour, bringing you to some of the best and most delicious pizza makers in the city. Later tonight, dive deeper in the culinary delights of Naples, with a traditional tasting of Neapolitan cuisine, featuring some of Italy’s most famous dishes. 

Day 4 – Travel to Sorrento and Pompeii

After breakfast at the hotel, depart for Sorrento. En route, make a stop in ancient Pompeii. In 79 A.D., Pompeii was completely buried by an eruption of Mount Vesuvius, freezing the city in time. Today, your tour will guide you through the ancient streets, homes, and shops, as well as a visit to the colosseum and forum. After your visit to Pompeii, you’ll visit a local winery on the slopes of Mount Etna for a cooking class and wine tasting. Thanks to the rich, volcanic soil of Mount Etna, this entire region offers some of the finest wines and cuisine in the country. 

Day 5 – Explore Capri

Today, your driver will meet you at your hotel and transfer you to the port of Sorrento for a day trip to Capri. You’ll sail to one of the most famous islands in the world with plenty of time to explore on your own. You can visit Emperor Tiberius’ villa, stroll the medieval town, and, weather permitting, take an optional visit to the Blue Grotto. Return to Sorrento.

Day 6 – Explore Amalfi Coast

Today your driver/guide will bring you to the villages and towns of Amalfi. You’ll experience first hand why this region is considered the most stunning in Italy, and will have plenty of time to explore the charming towns including Amalfi, Positano, and Ravello. Upon returning to Sorrento, we’ve arranged a special limoncello tasting experience. Your expert guide with explain the entire process of making the famous drink, and after a stroll through the fragrant lemon groves, you’ll enjoy some local cheeses and snacks with a few glasses of limoncello. 

Day 7 – Travel to Rome

Your driver will meet you and transfer you to the Naples rail station for your flight to Rome. Upon arrival, you’ll be transferred to your hotel, where the balance of the day is at leisure for you to enjoy the Eternal City. 

Day 8 – Explore Rome

Today is a step back in time as you tour the sites of ancient Rome. You’ll visit the Forum, the Colosseum, Capitoline Hill, Pantheon and many more recognizable locations, bringing you front and center with Rome’s past. After a stop for an espresso, continue to the Trastevere neighborhood for a lunch walking tour. Your guide will introduce you to the local cheeses, salamis and breads that make up traditional Roman dishes. You’ll visit historic taverns for a drink and discover the secrets of Roman cooking and the history of this neighborhood. 

Day 9 – Explore the Vatican

No visit to Rome would be complete without a visit to the Vatican Museums. Your guide will escort you to the Vatican, where your skip the line with your scheduled tour. You’ll see the famous Raphael Rooms, tour the once-private domain of the popes, visit St. Peter’s Basilica, and of course, tour Michelangelo’s masterpiece, the Sistine Chapel. Tonight, enjoy a special farewell dinner at a local restaurant with a wine tasting.

Day 10 – Departure from Rome

Your private driver will meet you at the hotel and transfer you to the airport for your onward journey.
