Day 01 Kathmandu 

Welcome to Nepal. Upon arrival, you will be met by your Sky Vacations ambassador and transferred to the hotel. 

Afternoon proceed for sightseeing tour of Patan city. Patan is 5 km away from Kathmandu city and the ancient name of Patan is Lalitpur, meaning city of beauty and fine arts. It is enclosed within 4 stupas said to be built in 3rd century AD, by Emperor Ashoka. You will see the Durbar Square, the Patan Durbar which houses a bronze collection, the Krishna Temple built by King Siddhi Narsingh Malla, Hiranya Varna Mahavihar. The city is believed to have been built during the reign of Vira Dev in A.D. 299. Stay overnight at the hotel.

Day 02 Kathmandu 

After breakfast proceed for sightseeing tour of Kathmandu visiting the Kathmandu City. Here one can find distinctive pagoda-roofed temples, stone sculptures, and old monasteries and histories monuments. Here you will visit the temple of the Living Goddess, who acknowledges the greetings of devotees from the balcony of the temple residence Kasthamandap – the source of the name Kathmandu and is supposed to be made from the timber of a single tree. Also visit Durbar Square are with its array of temples overlooked by the Hanuman Dhoka Palace, the ancient place of the former Nepalese Royalty. Swayambhunath, Located approximately 4 km, Buddhist stupa this is said to be more than 2000 years old, making it one of the world’s oldest and most glorious Buddhist chaityas. The Chaitya (stupa) which forms the main structure is composed of a solid hemisphere of brick and earth supporting a lofty conical spire capped by pinnacle of gilt copper.

Afternoon proceed for sightseeing tour of Pashupatinath: situated approx. 4 km east of Kathmandu city, is the holiest of all the Shiva shrines in Nepal and is the abode of Lord Pashupatinath, the guardian spirit of Nepal. (Non Hindu can enter the Temple premises but they will not be allowed to enter the inner sanctum of the temple). Boudhanath, This colossal stupa, one of the biggest in the world of its kind, is situated approx. 8 km east of the Kathmandu city. It stands with four pairs of eyes in the four cardinal directions keeping watch for righteous behavior and human prosperity. Stay overnight at the hotel.

Day 03 Kathmandu

The day begins with a half day tour of Bhaktapur city. A former capital of the valley, it was once a flourishing city on the trade route to Tibet. It has preserved its traditional character better than the other two cities, due to its more isolated location. It is regarded today as a classic showcase of medieval Nepalese town life. It is situated in the east of Kathmandu valley about 14 km. away. It today retains much of its beauty in ornate woodcarvings and in the famed Golden Gate. The city is famous for its traditional pottery, cloth weaving, wood carving and handicraft production.

Afternoon proceed for excursion to Nagarkot. The tiny settlement of Nagarkot clings to a hill-top east of Kathmandu (2,099 meters, 6,886 feet), far from city noise and traffic. It is 32 km. from the city and is famous for its view of the Himalayan range, stretching from Dhaulagiri in the west and Everest to Kanchenjunga in the east. It is the best close range Himalayan vantage point from anywhere on the Kathmandu valley rim.

Day 04 Kathmandu / Chitwan

This morning after breakfast you will be driven for approximately 5 hours to Chitwan. Arrive and check in the hotel. Rest of the day will be at leisure. 

Day 05 Chitwan

Established in 1962, Chitwan National Park is the first national park and the largest safari park of Nepal. It used to be a royal garden and opened to the public aiming to protect the endangered one-horned rhinoceroses originally. In 1984, the park was included in the List of World Heritage as natural heritage by UNESCO. The park comprises 932 square kilometers of grassland, Sal and riverine jungle, a magnificent environment with a greater variety of wildlife than any other protected areas of Nepal.

There are several interesting recreational activities including elephant riding, canoe drifting and jungle safari, which will offer you an opportunity to spot the rare Bengal tigers, wild elephant, rhinoceros, crocodiles and other wildlife. The local guide or mahout will give you some information during journey and help you to locate the animals in the park. These are likely to include the endangered Great One-horned Rhino, Wild Boar, Sambar, Muntjac, Spotted and Hog Deer, Rhesus and Languar Monkeys, and the Marsh Mugger and the fish-eating Gharial Crocodiles. Leopards, Sloth Bears, and Gaur (wild bison) are all found in the reserve and occasionally seen by the lucky ones

Next you will come to the Elephant Breeding Center to see the baby elephants. After a short break at the lodge, you will round up your jungle expedition with a visit to the Tharu village where you may enjoy a local dance performance called “Tharu Tribal Dance”. 

Day 06 Chitwan / Pokhara

After breakfast at your hotel, enjoy your drive to the Pokhara, known for its natural beauty. The enchanting city has several beautiful lakes and offers stunning panoramic views of Himalayan Peaks. The serenity of the lakes and the magnificence of the Himalaya rising behind them create the ambience that has made Pokhara such a popular place to relax and enjoy the beauty of nature. Tourism focuses on the districts of Dam-side and Lakeside (or Pardi and Baidam, in Nepali, respectively). These two areas, packed with hotels and restaurants, are a few kilometers southwest of the main Pokhara bazaar. Arrive and check in the hotel. Rest of the day will be at leisure. 

Day 07 Pokhara  

This day proceed for tour of Pokhara city where is beautiful lake like Begnesh, Rupa and Fewa  Pokhara museum  Cave Davit fall. Bindebashini Temple, Seti Gorge, Barahi Temple, The Barahi Temple is the most important monument in Pokhara. Built almost in the Center of Phewa Lake, this two-storied pagoda is dedicated to the boar manifestation of Ajima, the protester deity representing the female force Shakti.  Bindhyabasini Temple, This is one of the oldest temples in Pokhara. Legend says that when Pokhara was a part of Kaski Kingdom, the main deity of the temple, Goddess Durga, was brought from India. Apart from the peace and tranquility that can be felt in this region, the premises of the temple offers a good view of the Himalaya on a clear day. The temple is in the area of the Bazaar; hence, a journey of the old bazaar can be combined with a visit to the temple. Devis Fall. Davis Fall is the most famous water fall in Pokhara, which comes to its gushing best just before disappearing underground. Seti Gandaki / Gorge: Seti Gandaki and Seti Gorge are other two important places to visit in Pokhara. The Seti gandaki flows right through the city, it runs completely underground at many places. There is a local myth that the entire land of Pokhara floats on the Seti river. Post the sightseeing return to the hotel. Stay Overnight at the hotel.

Day 08 Pokhara / Kathmandu

Enjoy your scenic drive spanning about 7 hours as you are driven from Pokhara to Kathmandu.

Day 09 Depart Kathmandu

Until next time! After breakfast at your hotel, you will be transferred to the airport for your onward journey.
