Through engaging digital exhibits, you’ll discover the lives of Irish artists, adventurers, political leaders, and everyday people who made an impact far from home. For those interested in exploring their own Irish heritage, there’s an opportunity to book a personal genealogy session with a professional genealogist. Whether you have Irish roots or are simply curious, this is a fascinating deep dive into family history using the museum’s rich archive and resources.

The evening is free to relax or explore Dublin at your own pace. Perhaps enjoy a traditional Irish meal in Temple Bar or a quiet pint in one of the city’s historic pubs.

Day 2: Wild Wicklow – Monastic Ruins, Majestic Gardens & Dublin Delights

After breakfast, meet your guide, who will accompany you on today’s adventure into the stunning County Wicklow. Just a short drive south of Dublin, the landscape transforms into rolling hills, lush forests, and serene lakes. Your first destination is the Wicklow Mountains National Park, home to some of Ireland’s most iconic scenery. Within the park lies Glendalough, an ancient monastic settlement nestled in a glacial valley. Founded by St. Kevin in the 6th century, Glendalough offers a peaceful and spiritual setting, with its iconic round tower, stone churches, and walking trails that weave between two serene lakes. Depending on your energy and interest, you can enjoy a short scenic stroll or an extended hike through this magical landscape. Stroll through its magnificent gardens, which span over 47 acres and feature themed landscapes, ornate fountains, Japanese gardens, and the famous Italian terrace.

In the afternoon, return to Dublin and enjoy some free time to explore at your own pace.
