DAY 1 – WELCOME
Welcome to South Africa. Upon arrival you’ll be met by our Sky Vacations ambassador who will meet you and will take you to your hotel in Johannesburg. The balance of the day is yours to unwind as you prepare for your South African adventure!
DAY 2 –JOHANNESBURG
The journey begins! Your guide will meet you at your hotel and take you on an orientation tour of Johannesburg which will introduce you to the history of the old and modern cities. You’ll also make a visit to Carlton Tower where the 360 degree terrace provides breathtaking views. Next up is a visit to the famous Soweto Township. Located south west of Johannesburg, Soweto is famous for its role in the struggle against apartheid. With roots dating back to the turn of the last century, Soweto is now home to over 3 million people. Your tour will bring you up close and personal with key moments in the township’s history including the Hector Pieterson Museum, Sisulu Square, Vilakazi Street (home to two Noble Peace Prize winners) and the brightly colored Soweto Towers. You’ll have time for lunch on your own before checking in to your hotel in Hazyview, where dinner will be served this evening.
DAY 3 – HAZYVIEW
This morning you’ll experince a visit to Graskop Gorge with a ride on its famous lift that will take you down to the base of the rainforest floor. Here you will have time to explore the rainforest along a mile long path (wear comfortable, rubber soled shoes!) and will have the chance to do zip lining and cross the suspension bridge.
After time for lunch on your own, it’s off to visit Pinnacle Rock. This massive form of free standing rock reaches 30 meters into the air, high atop Driekop Gorge for an incredible display of unique beauty. You’ll be ready to relax at the hotel and enjoy dinner before heading to Kruger National Park tomorrow!
DAY 4 – KRUGER
Begin the day with a visit to the highest waterfalls in Mpumalanga Province, Lisbon Falls, located on the Panorama Route, comprising some of South Africa’s most stunning vistas and home to some of South Africa’s best natural attractions and the third largest canyon in the world, the Blyde River Canyon. The 94 metre falls are easily accessible and surrounded by trees where you can take a break in the shade and appreciate the stunning view as the water moves from its high plateau and branches into three streams before tumbling down the red hued cliffs. The Panorama Route is also an excellent location for bird watching and is blessed with many colourful and endemic species. Enjoy the walking trails around the falls and take respite from the heat in a cool stream.
Admire the beauty of nature at the Berlin Falls. This rushing sheet of falling water forms part of the magnificent canyon and tumbles down 80 metres of red cliff face in a shape that is likened to that of a giant candle before crashing into an emerald green pool below.
After free time for lunch on your own it’s off to Lone Creek Falls, one of most well-known landmarks of the forest area. ,The waterfall has been declared a National Monument, and will take your breath away with its natural beauty. From here you’ll arrive to Paul Kruger Gate, the main entrance to the southern section of the Kruger National Park. The entrance crosses the Sabi River, the main watercourse in the southern Kruger. More species of mammals than any other African game reserve roam among the marula woodlands and savannah grassland are found in this part of the Kruger. Besides the Big Five also discover the Little Five (buffalo weaver,
elephant shrew, leopard tortoise, ant lion and rhino beetle), and the birding Big Six (ground hornbill, kori bustard, lappet-faced vulture, martial eagle, fishing owl and saddle-bill stork). You’ll have dinner at the hotel tomorrow as you get ready for your first day of safari!
DAY 5 – KRUGER NATIONAL PARK
Today is a full day, private game drive! Your guide will meet you with your own 4×4 safari vehicle as you set off into the park. Kruger is one of the largest game reserves in Africa, stretching across a vast 18 989 square kilometres (7 332 square miles). With over 12 000 elephants, 27 000 African buffalo and 1 000 leopards, the Big Five is well represented. White rhino sightings are frequent, while spotting a black rhino may require some patience and a bit of
luck. Lions are plentiful with over 2 000 stalking the plains. Overall, the Kruger supports 147 free roaming mammal
species. Your morning safari concludes at one of the rest camps inside the reserve giving you the opportunity to stretch, refresh
and have lunch on your own. After refuelling, set off for a second round of action-packed wildlife discoveries!
Your 4×4 vehicle will allow you to get very close to the surrounding vegetation while your experienced ranger follows fresh
animal tracks. Your safari concludes in the late afternoon before returning to your hotel where dinner will be served this evening.
DAY 6 – KRUGER & MAKALALI
Witness nature at its best at the Blyde River Canyon. This spectacular piece of landscape carves its way through
kilometres of red sandstone and is one of the most outstanding geological features in South Africa and the world. Stunning vistas from legendary viewpoint such as God’s Window offer views as far afield as Mozambique on a clear day. You’ll arrive to Makalali Conservancy. Ready to indulge your every wild whim, the Makalali Conservancy encourages guests to make the most of their time close to wildlife. Located west of the Kruger National Park, the private
reserve (54 000 acres) presents undulating hills and incredible viewpoints.With a name meaning ‘place of rest’, Makalali is indeed a location to take a breather where guests can get closer to nature through wilderness walks, sleep-outs and outdoor bush baths. Wildlife in the reserve includes lion, leopard, elephant, cheetah
and rhino, while activities concentrate on morning, available optional afternoon and evening game drives, walking safaris and star gazing will be offered.
DAY 7 – MAKALALI
A full day of adventure awaits as your private guide pulls up in your 4×4 for an early morning game run where you’ll get up close and personal with the animal life of the private reserve. Back to the lodge for breakfast and lunch, this afternoon your second exciting game run takes place. After completing two runs, you’ll have time to chill out at the lodge before dinner.
DAY 8 – MAKALALI / CAPE TOWN
An early morning game drive will be followed by breakfast at the lodge. You’ll then be transferred to the Hoedspruit Airport for your flight to Cape Town (via Johannesburg). Upon arrival in Cape Town, your Sky Vacations ambassador will meet you and take you to your hotel in the city.
DAY 9 – CAPE TOWN
Breakfast will be served at the hotel before setting off for a Cape Town City Tour. Be captivated by the multi-ethnic character and
historical wealth of the Mother City. Cape Town is a rare cultural gem, resulting from the amalgamation of different nationalities and indigenous tribes. Alongside high-rise office blocks, a harmonious blend of architectural styles has been meticulously preserved, including Edwardian, Victorian and Cape Dutch.
Narrow, cobblestone streets and the Islamic character of the Bo-Kaap enhance the cosmopolitan ambiance. Your itinerary takes you to the City Hall, the Castle of Good Hope – this pentagon-shaped fort is the oldest surviving building in South Africa; the Company Garden – a large public park, originally Jan van Riebeeck and Signal Hill with spectacular panoramas over the city.
Later today, discover the Mother City with electric bikes. Your guide will take you along the coast and inner city is rich with Cape town culture and history. Crossing the yacht Marina and through the waterfront you’ll visit the oldest light house in South Africa. After riding on Seapointwalk way, your guide will lead you to Greenpoint Gardens where there is a superb view on the Cape Town Stadium. The balance of the day and evening are yours to discover amazing Cape Town.
DAY 10: CAPE TOWN / WINELANDS
You’ll be met at your hotel for a full day Cape Winelands tour. Learn everything there is to know about wines, from the vineyard to the bottle. The Cape Wine Route is defined by the triangle that forms the towns of Stellenbosch, Paarl and Franschhoek. Stellenbosch, a charming old town with oak-shaded avenues and
historical buildings, Franschhoek where the first vines were planted in 1685 and Paarl a center for the Afrikaner culture since the 19th
century. Along the Route, wine estates welcome you to taste wines and cheeses and invite you to learn how the wines are made before you are returned to your hotel for another evening to explore the city.
DAY 11 : CAPE TOWN
Today is another thrilling E-Bike tour, this time to the Cape Peninsula, from the pristine white beaches, the penguin colony, breath-taking mountains, to the spectacular sight of Cape Point. This will be your easiest yet most rewarding e-bicycle ride as you don’t need to be fit to enjoy it! Once you get to your starting point in the Cape Point Nature Reserve and after a short safety briefing, you will start riding South to the Cape of Good Hope, a world-renowned landmark, and monuments that honor of two of the world’s
most famous explorers – Vasco da Gama and Bartolomeu Dias. On your way, observe over 250 species of birdlife, baboons, ostriches, bucks and the Cape Mountain Zebra. You will then head to Cape Point where you can hop off your bike to get to the lighthouse, have some leisure time and eventually lunch at the local restaurant. . Once you’ve made the most of Cape Point, ride your bike back
North where you started and get back where you will end the day and be taken back to your hotel for your final evening in South Africa.
DAY 12 : CAPE TOWN
Today your private driver will meet you at your hotel and transfer you to the Cape Town Airport for your onward journey.

DAY 1 – WELCOME
Welcome to South Africa. Upon arrival you’ll be met by our Sky Vacations ambassador who will meet you and will take you to your hotel in Johannesburg. The balance of the day is yours to unwind as you prepare for your South African adventure!
DAY 2 –JOHANNESBURG
The journey begins! Your guide will meet you at your hotel and take you on an orientation tour of Johannesburg which will introduce you to the history of the old and modern cities. You’ll also make a visit to Carlton Tower where the 360 degree terrace provides breathtaking views. Next up is a visit to the famous Soweto Township. Located south west of Johannesburg, Soweto is famous for its role in the struggle against apartheid. With roots dating back to the turn of the last century, Soweto is now home to over 3 million people. Your tour will bring you up close and personal with key moments in the township’s history including the Hector Pieterson Museum, Sisulu Square, Vilakazi Street (home to two Noble Peace Prize winners) and the brightly colored Soweto Towers. You’ll have time for lunch on your own before checking in to your hotel in Hazyview, where dinner will be served this evening.
DAY 3 – HAZYVIEW
This morning you’ll experince a visit to Graskop Gorge with a ride on its famous lift that will take you down to the base of the rainforest floor. Here you will have time to explore the rainforest along a mile long path (wear comfortable, rubber soled shoes!) and will have the chance to do zip lining and cross the suspension bridge.
After time for lunch on your own, it’s off to visit Pinnacle Rock. This massive form of free standing rock reaches 30 meters into the air, high atop Driekop Gorge for an incredible display of unique beauty. You’ll be ready to relax at the hotel and enjoy dinner before heading to Kruger National Park tomorrow!
DAY 4 – KRUGER
