Day 1. INCHEON AIRPORT – SEOUL

Welcome to Korea.  Upon arrival you will be met be transferred to your hotel in Seoul for your overnight stay. The balance of your day is at leisure to unwind. 

Day 2. SEOUL CITY TOUR

After breakfast, your day begins with a Seoul City Tour. Starting with Changdeokgung Palace Complex [UNESCO], and visit Bukchon Hanok Village and Seoul Jogyesa Temple nearby. Then, discover the Cheong Wa Dae (Blue House), mostly known as the former Presidential Residence but also for its blue tiles on the Main Office. After this, we head to  Gwangjang Market. There, you will be able to taste different foods and buy the traditional clothing, the Hanbok. The name Gwangjang means “to gather from afar and keep altogether”. Dongdaemun Design Plaza (DDP) has a meaning of Dream, Design, and Play. It holds so much different events (shows, exhibitions, conferences…). The city tour ends with a visit to Naksan Park. Located in the center of the Seoul, this historical and beautiful park allows its visitors to view the magnificence of the entire city.

Day 3. SEOUL – GONGJU – DAEJEON

After breakfast this morning, meet your guide at Myeongdong station (Exit 2) at 9AM and continue to Gongju to visit the Gongju National Museum, With over 10,000 objects including 19 national treasures, its a must see. Transfer to the Gongju Gongsanseong Fortress [UNESCO], to step back to the Baekje period. After, continue to the Royal Tomb of King Muryeong [UNESCO], a brick chamber decorated with lotus patterns, founded in 1971. 

Day 4. DAEJEON – MAISAN MOUNTAIN – JEONJU

After breakfast, our tour guide will pick you up at your hotel lobby and transfer to Maisan Mountain which is a Jeollabuk-do situated mountain composed of two peaks of 667 an 673mm. Maisan literally means “horse ears mountain”, due to its appearance. After, transfer to Gyeonggijeon Shrine in Jeonju, erected in 1410 where you can see King Tae-Jo’s portrait, the founder of Joseon dynasty.

Day 5. JEONJU – SUNCHANG – GANGJIN  – SUNCHEON

After breakfast, transfer to Sunchang where you will have the opportunity to make and taste gochujang, the Korean red pepper paste. The main ingredient is gochugaru, a chili pepper powder. Then, transfer to Gangjin to visit Wolnamsaji Temple near the Baekundong Garden to experience a traditional tea ceremony along with a visit to Baekunok Traditional Korean Tea Museum.

Day 6. SUNCHEON – NAMHAE – GEOJE

This morning after breakfast, your day begins with a visit to Naganeupseong Walled Town which contains a fortress town that is over 59m². There are 3 neighborhoods along the east, south and west. Then, move to Namhae to see the Namhae Geumsan Boriam Hermitage, known as one of the most prestigious prayer spots in Korea. Then, the guide will take you to the Seolli Skywalk, a beautiful photo spot in Namhae, 36m from the ground.

Day 7. GEOJE – BUSAN

Meet the tour guide to move to Busan for a free time and the overnight there.

Day 8. BUSAN – GYEONGJU

After breakfast, continue to Gyeongju and visit Daereungwon Tomb Complex (Cheonmachong tomb) which consists of a wooden coffin placed inside an underground chamber mounded with boulders and earth, characterized as a typical upper class tomb of the Silla period. Cheomseongdae Observatory and Gyeongju Donggung Palace and Wolji Pond (which was the secondary palace used by the crown from the Silla Kingdom) are both must see sites. Then the guide will take you to the Gyeongju Bulguksa Temple [UNESCO], representative of Buddhist culture of this period. 

Day 9. GYEONGJU – ANDONG – YEONGJU – DANYANG

After breakfast, you will meet with the tour guide and go to Andong where you will see Byeongsanseowon Confucian Academy [UNESCO] and Andong Folk Village [UNESCO], in the heart of the Joseon Dynasty. As one of the greatest attractions in Korea and UNESCO World Heritage Site, it attracts around 1 million visitors every year. Then, transfer to Yeongju where you will have the opportunity to make and taste makgeolli, a Korean alcoholic beverage made with rice. In Korea, makgeolli is often unpasteurized, and the wine continues to mature in the bottle.

Day 10. DANYANG – SEORAK MOUNTAIN – SOKCHO

This morning, transfer to Danyanggang Jando Trail, a trekking path along Namhangang River. There are various attractions nearby, including Mancheonha Skywalk, offering a tour experience that covers geology and history. Continue to Seorak Mountain and Gwongeumseong Fortress – here we visit Sinheungsa Temple in Sokcho which is home to many cultural heritages. The temple also offers the temple stay program in which participants can experience a temple life by doing activities such as ceremonial service or programs of making a lotus lantern and Buddhist rosary.

Day 11. SOKCHO – GOSEONG – CHUNCHEON – SEOUL

After breakfast, move to Goseong Unification Observation Tower and Goseong DMZ Museum, where you can see the Haegeumgang River and the islands nearby as well as get a glimpse of various peaks of Geumgangsan Mountain (North Korea). Transfer to the Samaksan Cable Car to enjoy the view of the Uiamho Lake and all Chuncheon landscape and from the Uiamho Lake Slywalk.

Day 12. SEOUL – INCHEON AIRPORT

Its time to say good bye. Transfer to to Incheon Airport for your onward journey.
