Day 1 – Arrive Singapore

Welcome to Singapore – upon arrival, your Sky Vacations ambassador will meet and transfer you to your hotel. The remainder of the day is yours to unwind. This evening, dine al-fresco at Satay Club, located at Lau Pa Sat hawker center which was built in the 19th century. Savor piping hot Satays (marinated meat on skewers) and other local hawker dishes. Sip on an ice-cold beer as you revel in the elegant old world charm.

Day 2 – Singapore Cultural Tour

After breakfast at your hotel, we head out to experience the ‘Cultures of Singapore’. Discover the three main cultural and ethnic quarters of Singapore – Chinatown, Little India and Kampong Glam.

At Chinatown, you can find an Indian Muslim Mosque, the oldest Hindu temple in Singapore, and a Buddhist temple in the same street. Stroll down the street of conservation shop houses which used to be home to coolie houses, opium dens, gambling dens, brothels and secret societies. Try local favourites such as BBQ pork jerky and the king of fruit Durian.

Little India is found in a collection of streets with roadside stalls selling fresh vegetables and products, little shops peddling everything from Indian sweets to saris and gold chains! Admire the speed of making a fresh flower garland & the beauty of a henna tattoo. Receive a jasmine flower garland and a Henna Tattoo on your hand.

Kampong Glam is where you can see the unique Malay heritage that formed the underpinnings of Singapura. It is home to the Istana and the national mosque of Singapore, the Sultan’s Mosque. Heritage shophouses with carpet shops, textiles, and colourful lamps lined the famous Arab Street. Visit the mural-lined hip street Haji Lane and quench your thirst with a cold iced bag of Teh Tarik! Take a Bumboat ride down the Singapore River, passing under bridges built during the colonial rule,
the business and financial district, our founder Sir Stamford Raffles’ landing site in 1819, former warehouses of Clarke Quay, conservation shophouses of Boat Quay, the tourism symbol the Merlion, the picturesque Marina Bay and of course the majestic view of the iconic Marina Bay Sands Hotel!

This afternoon, another exciting experience awaits us – Peranakan Heritage Tour. Learn about the Peranakan heritage and culture through a curated boutique tour consisting of trying-on the Peranakan Kebaya and food sampling of various Nyonya traditional cakes. Head over to Koon Seng Road, where there are well-designed picturesque Peranakan terrace houses and admire huge mural “Jousting Painters” by Lithuanian street artist, Ernest Zacharevic at Everitt Road.

Day 3 – Haw Par Villa Tour and National Gallery Building Architecture / National Museum Tour

Today, its time for a morning tour of Haw Par Villa – formerly known as the Tiger Balm Garden. An 8.5-hectare Asian cultural park, the last of its kind in the world was built in 1937. Singapore’s largest outdoor art gallery is the brainchild of Aw Boon Haw, the millionaire philanthropist and marketing extraordinaire who gifted the world Tiger Balm. The Chinese mythology themed park is a treasure trove of Asian culture, history, philosophy and religion.

This afternoon, we continue to National Gallery Building Architecture and National Museum Tour.  Our first stop is the award-winning National Gallery, housed in two beautifully restored national monuments – the City Hall and the former Supreme Court. The Gallery also boasts the largest public collection of modern art in Singapore and Southeast Asia. Visit the former holding cells, Chief Justice’s Office and Chambers, the Court rooms, the City Hall Chambers where the surrender of the Japanese to the British took place in September 1945, and the rooftop for the “Million-Dollar view!” Next, we will visit the National Museum, the nation’s oldest museum established in 1887. Learn through immersive exhibits about Singapore’s rise from a sleeping village to the bustling metropolis it is today.

Day 4 – Crazy Rich Asians Xperiential Tour (inclusive of Mahjong)

For all our movie buffs – today is an exciting day in store. Yes, you heard it right – get behind the scenes action of Crazy Rich Asians. A hit movie that shines the spotlight on the “lifestyles of the Rich & Famous” in Singapore. We will show you the filming locations and play out a key scene from the movie with your participation. Visit key locations such as CHIJMES, an off the beaten track location in Chinatown, Newton Circus Food Centre, and finish the tour with a Mahjong 101 session in a clan association hall. Not only will you get a crash course on the Mahjong basics, you will also learn the significance of the moves
made during Eleanor and Rachel’s showdown at the Mahjong Parlor!

This afternoon, we take a trip to visit a working Gin distillery, the first micro-distillery that brews a distinctly Singaporean
dry gin. Guests will be able to go behind the scenes of the distillery, find out more about the birth of the brand and why they chose Singapore as a home. You will also get a chance to experience and taste the first spirit ever crafted in Singapore whilst in high spirits!

Day 5 – Sir Stamford Raffles Tour

Join us on our journey to uncover the lesser known facts of our founder Sir Stamford Raffles. We will first learn about the history and background of why Raffles chose Singapore, the exact spot where he landed, his town plan where he mapped out his vision of Singapore, and the buildings of which the British had left a legacy. Visit the former site of Raffles’ residence and end the tour at Fort Canning.

After the tour, enjoy a Chinese lunch at Empress, a restaurant located at the iconic Asian Civilization Museum offering one of the most stunning waterfront views in the Central Business District Area.

Day 6 – Farewell Singapore

Your morning is at leisure to take a dip in the pool, unwind or shop at the famed Orchard Road shopping street or Bugis Street (street market full of knick knacks and souvenirs) or Haji Lane (mural lined streets full of little boutique shops). This afternoon transfer to the airport for your onward journey.
