Day 1: Arrive in Beijing
Upon arrival, you will be met by Sky Vacations ambassador for private arrival transfer. Remainder of your day is at leisure to enjoy your hotel and new surroundings.
Day 2: Tiananmen Square | Forbidden City
Today will be spent exploring the Imperial landmarks of the city. Starting with a visit to Tiananmen Square, one of the largest public squares in the world where many important events have taken place. Just adjacent you can find the Forbidden City, the home to the emperors of the Ming and Qing Dynasties. After lunch, enjoy a free walk at Qianmen and Dazhalan Pedestrian Street.
Day 3: Great Wall Of China
Any trip to Beijing would not be complete without a visit to the Great Wall of China (Badaling Ancient Section), one of the most famous attractions in the whole of China. Take a photo stop at Bird Nest and Water Cube, the new icon of Beijing.
Day 4: Beijing – Xi’an
This morning is at leisure. Transfer to train station and take high speed rail to Xi’an. Upon arrival, transfer to your hotel for a 2 nights stay.
Day 5: Xi’an
Today you will be exploring the Museum of Terracotta Warriors and Horses. Firstly discovered in 1974, the Terracotta Army is the most significant archaeological excavations of the 20th Century. After lunch, you’ll explore the city centre – Drum Tower Square, Muslim Street and the Qin Terra-cotta figures factory.
Day 6: Xi’an – Chengdu | Panda Research Centre
After breakfast, take a high speed train to Chengdu where you will be met by your Sky Vacations ambassador and transfered to your hotel.
Upon arrival in Chongqing, transfer from train station to your hotel. Visit Panda Research Centre for the amazing chance to witness adorable pandas in action. This state of the art facility allows you to get up close to these cuddly black and white bears as you learn about their eating habits and behavior.
Day 7: Chengdu – Chongqing | Victoria Cruise
One way transfer from hotel to train station. Upon arrival in Chongqing, one way transfer from train station to cruise port. Welcome aboard a Yangtze River Cruise
Day 8: Yangtze River Cruise
Shore excursion to Jade Emperor Scenic Area in Fengdu.
Day 9: Yangtze River Cruise
Sail through Qutang Gorge and marvel at Kui Gate. Sail through Wu Gorge. Shore excursion to Shennv Stream (Goddess Stream)
Day 10: Disembark Cruise – Shanghai
It’s time to say goodbye to your fellow cruise members before disembarkation. Continue with a visit to the Three Gorges Dam Site along with lunch. Your transfer to the airport for a flight to Shanghai awaits you. Upon arrival in Shanghai, you will be met by your Sky Vacations ambassador and tranferred to your hotel for an overnight stay.
Day 11: Shanghai
Spend the day exploring the city of Shanghai. Start with a visit to the popular Yu Garden, a classical Chinese garden with dragon-lined walls separating various garden areas and pavilions. Afterwards, explore at Chenghuangmiao Bazaar. Post lunch, continue exploring Tianzifang, an old residential area which has been revitalized to trendy shopping outlets.
Day 12: City tour of Suzhou
After breakfast, visit the Lingering Garden, described as one of nine “Classical Gardens of Suzhou” on the UNESCO World Heritage List. The Lingering Garden is a classic example of the Qing Dynasty’s garden landscaping.
Day 13: Depart China
Transfer to the airport for your onward journey.
