Day 1: Abu Dhabi
Welcome to Abu Dhabi. Upon arrival, your Sky Vacations ambassador will meet and transfer you to your hotel. The balance of the day is yours to relax and unwind.
Day 2: Abu Dhabi
Spend a perfect day at the capital of the United Arab Emirates and discover how this majestic Emirati city artfully blends the ancient past with the modern present. The ‘Abu Dhabi City Tour’ is an all-encompassing excursion of this fascinating historic emirate. The tour begins with a visit to the beautiful Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque, an architectural wonder and one of the biggest mosques in the world.
This architectural marvel, with a capacity for an astonishing 40,000 worshippers, features 80 domes, over 1,000 columns, gold plated chandeliers and the world’s largest hand woven carpet. This world famous mosque welcomes people from all walks of life to soak in its breathtaking architecture and gain a deeper understanding of the religion and culture in the UAE. Drive by the Corniche, an impressive 5 mile stretch of perfectly manicured waterfront with children’s play area, beach, cafés and restaurants. After breaking for lunch at the Emirates Palace, we then proceed to Qasr AL Watan, a palace that is a unique testament to the spirit of the United Arab Emirates’ people and its leaders..
Day 3: Abu Dhabi
After breakfast at the hotel, we make our way to the Louvre Museum, a one of a kind Universal museum focused on art and civilization. Your private guide will give you a brief introduction to the building and the collection, followed by free time to admire the invaluable artefacts, statues and installations housed there.
After a delectable lunch at Flooka Restaurant overlooking Mangrove Abu Dhabi, we continue our tour with a visit to Manarat Al Saadiyat, a famous space in Abu Dhabi for art, cultural activities and community events. Set in the heart of Abu Dhabi’s cultural hub of Saadiyat Island, Manarat Al Saadiyat is a haven for anyone and everyone to hang out, relax, be inspired and explore a diverse range of artistic expressions. Discover an exhibition, exchange ideas, enjoy delectable food, attend a talk or enjoy a movie. We now head to Yas Island to the Ferrari Museum.
Day 4: Abu Dhabi
After breakfast at your hotel, its a full day tour of AL Ain City. Famous for its lively bursting Camel Souk, Al Ain is the garden city of this Arab nation, an oasis town home to thousands of date palms. With archeological ruins and digs dating as far back as 5,000 years, the ‘Al Ain City Tour’ is one of history and tradition. No journey to the Middle East would be complete without the chance to see camels up close and personal, and this city tour allows you to do just that. Your tour includes visits to Hili Gardens, Al Ain Palace Museum, lunch at Camel Market and a stop at Jahili Fort to view the photography collection of the famous explorer Wifred Thesiger.
Day 5: Abu Dhabi
After breakfast, your day begins with a visit to Warehouse 421, well known as an independent, anti-disciplinary platform dedicated to emerging artists and creative practitioners in the UAE and across the region. This innovative initiative adds to the cultural ecosystem of Abu Dhabi and was designed by the Bjarke Ingels Group, where two former industrial warehouses in Mina Zayed were transformed into an opportunity for artistic expression.
We then continue to Qasr Al Husn, the oldest and most significant building in Abu Dhabi, holding the city’s first permanent structure; the watchtower. Built around the 1790’s, the commanding structure overlooks the costal trade routes and protects the growing settlement established on the island.
Day 6: Farewell Abu Dhabi
Following breakfast, your Sky Vacations ambassador will meet you for your transfer to the airport for your onward journey.
